A home bakery in Ajax, making a small number of things properly.
Pesteh Bakery began the way most good things do — by making something for someone we love, and then being asked to make it again.
We bake in small batches, to order, and only ever a handful of things at a time. Every cake is made the morning you collect it. We use real butter, good chocolate and proper pistachios, and we do not freeze anything, ever.
Why we work this way
Baking to order means we waste almost nothing, and it means every box that leaves our kitchen is as good as we can make it. It also means we need a little notice — usually two days — and that we sometimes have to say no to a date. We would rather do that than hand you something we are not proud of.
